Azimuth Airline transported two milestone passengers

The Ufa International Airport had served its three-millionth passenger for the first time in the air industry’s entire history; it was Ulai Mambetov, a resident of Ufa, who checked in for the Ufa - Krasnodar flight of Azimuth Airline. Azat Kalimullin, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Belarus, congratulated the 3-millionth passenger, the Ufa airport and Azimuth Airline on behalf of the government of the republic. Aleksandr Andreyev, the Director General of the Ufa airport, highlighted the following information by his speech: “The meeting of the 3-millionth passenger is a landmark event both for the airport and for the whole republic. The airport shows steady growth rates with the passenger traffic’s increase by 83% in 7 years exceeding the industry average indicators. If the average rates constituted 10% last year, the indicator of the Ufa airport constituted 17%.

An equally significant event of this day occurred at the Platov International Airport, when Dmitry Tulanov, a resident of Rostov-on-Don, became the milestone three-millionth passenger of the southern harbor, who used the Azimuth Airline’s regular flight from the Don capital to Samara by a happy coincidence. Upon congratulating the milestone passenger by Andrey Ivanov, the Minister of Transport of Rostov Region, and Aleksandr Serov, the Executive Director of the Platov International Airport, Dmitry was provided with the airport’s annual certificate of service in VIP-halls of domestic and international flights of the Rostov-on-Don airport as well as the carrier’s certificate for a free flight through the route network.

Aleksandr Serov, the Executive Director of the Platov airport, noted: “The new Platov airport of Rostov-on-Don organized the first flights less than a year ago, and nowadays we have already witnessed a landmark event happening for the first time in the entire post-Soviet history of the aviation of Rostov-on-Don. Three million of passengers constitute a new indicator of air mobility in Rostov Region achieved due to the construction of a new, modern, comfortable airport in the region. We have recorded passenger traffic in excess of two million for five years in a row, and nowadays, we have overcome another significant milestone one month before the end of the year.
