Azimuth Airlines transported the 300 000-th passenger to Kaluga International Airport
Two years ago Azimuth Airlines operated first regular flight to Kaluga.
Azimuth Airlines has transported the 300 000-th passenger to Kaluga International Airport since the start of airport’s operating in 2015.
Julia Kalabukhova, teacher of geography from Kaluga, turned to be anniversary passenger. She was coming back home from vacation in Sochi by direct flight of Azimuth Airlines at SSJ100 aircraft.
"This is not the first time I travel with Azimuth Airlines, it is very convenient that there is a direct flight connecting our city with the Black sea resort at such affordable prices. The flight from Sochi to Kaluga was wonderful, the spacious cabin of the plane was very comfortable. And it's great to arrive to such a comfortable airport", - Mrs. Kalabukhova says.
The flight was welcomed by Dmitry Zvonarev, Director for strategic development of Azimuth Airlines JSC, Salavat Kutushev, General Director of Kaluga International Airport, Oleg Gulyaev, Director Of the «Regional aircraft» branch of Irkut Corporation Joint-Stock Company, and Konstantin Gorobtsov, Kaluga region Deputy Governor.
Julia Kalabukhova as anniversary passenger was gifted by Azimuth Airlines, Kaluga International Airport, «Regional aircraft» branch of Irkut Corporation JSC and the Kaluga region tourism development Agency. Azimuth Airlines operated its first flight to Kaluga two years ago from Rostov-on-Don.
During the two years of cooperation Azimuth Airlines transported more than 125,000 passengers to/from Kaluga on a comfortable Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. The company is actively developing the route network of Kaluga International Airport and currently operates flights to six destinations – Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Krasnodar and Yerevan.
CEO of Kaluga International airport Salavat Kutushev said: "The number of 300,000 passengers impresses and confirms the demand for aviation infrastructure in Kaluga and surrounding regions. Despite the difficulties of this year, the passenger traffic of our airport keeps on rising ahead of the figures for 2019.
